In Charleston, brunch is the most important meal of the weekend. Ask anyone in Charleston where they are before 3pm on Sunday, and odds are, they are brunching downtown. 1KEPT is one of the many restaurants in Charleston that proves that being in a hotel doesn’t preclude you from having amazing cuisine. The restaurant is located next to the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel on Wentworth street. The menu is authentically Southern and delicious. Plus, add in some rosé all day for $25 or a DIY Aperol spritz bar and live music, and you’ve got yourself the makings of a solid brunch party.
1Kept is known for their stellar cocktail creations. Several Sunday brunch cocktails were cold-brewing next to us at the bar. One of the cocktails consisted of Aperol and Meyer lemons, served with Cannonborough Honey-Basil soda. It was fabulous! The locally-made Cannonborough sodas are my absolute favorite and I love the 1Kept has incorporated them into some of their drinks.
