Christmas Brunch at The Establishment

December 27, 2018

If you haven’t dined at The Establishment here in Charleston yet, you definitely need to this holiday season! They have brought together an amazing group of seasoned Charleston restaurant veterans to serve an unforgettable and creative food and wine experience. The Establishment has a modern, industrial feel with a touch of art deco and is cozily tucked away on Broad Street. Serving a refined dinner menu accompanied with a divine wine list and a heavenly Sunday brunch; the Establishment is one of Charleston’s best-kept secrets. Christmas Brunch at The Establishment serves up executive chef Matt Canter’s brunch menu from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.

We went to The Establishment this past Sunday for their Christmas Brunch. It was such a fun and memorable experience. We received complimentary hot chocolate adorned with candy canes, spiked eggnog (Erik’s favorite) and a tray of cookie decorating items for Harper to make his very own dessert! The holiday brunch was delicious and complete with Christmas carolers. We are definitely going to make this a yearly Christmas tradition for our family.

There are a ton of delicious brunch spots in Charleston, but it was nice to do something extra special for the holiday season, and Christmas Brunch at The Establishment definitely hit the spot!

We tried several items on the brunch menu. We started off with the doughnuts topped with gooey whey caramel and tart dried blueberries. We took out the entire appetizer in less than five minutes. Next we tried a few entrees. The french toast alone is worth a reservation. With three, generous pieces of french toast, it’s paired with bread pudding, fig preserve, and mascarpone. So delicious! Erik also ordered the Shrimp and Polenta with roasted pepper, lardon and poached egg. It was rich and savory.

Need New Year’s Eve plans? They got you covered there too! The Establishment and their impressive executive chefs have prepared a fabulous New Year’s Eve experience complete with a five-course menu, champagne toast, party favors, valet parking, and a jazz trio. If that doesn’t sound like an elegant way to bring in the New Year then I don’t know what does. Reserve your table and tickets on their website.

So whether you join them for brunch, dinner, or a spectacular holiday celebration; make sure the Establishment is on your Charleston bucket list.
